Newminster Cottage makes an ideal base from which to visit the many attractions of Northumberland and the North East region. Railway and bus stations, and main roads are only a few minutes away, meaning that the whole of Northumberland, from Hadrian's Wall to the walled town of Berwick upon Tweed, from the Kielder Water Park to the nearby spectacular coast and castles, are all within about an hour's drive. The city of Newcastle, with Gateshead's famous Sage music and culture centre are reached within half and hour, ideal for days out, or an evening's entertainment.
